Piecing Together Community

Six smiling women with quilts on a table that has a Royal Neighbors banner.

Royal Neighbors Chapter 20203 partners with its local United Methodist Church to host a quilters sewing group in Viola, Illinois. Each handmade quilt is lovingly pieced together and then gifted to community members who are facing health and life challenges.

For this village, quilting is a way of giving hope to those who are battling various struggles. A quilt draped over your shoulders can help provide comfort and encouragement on the hardest days. What starts as colorful fabric and simple thread becomes a warm reminder that they are not alone.

We’re inspired by how these quilters are building a sense of belonging with their creations. Each of these carefully crafted treasures helps to piece together community, one beautiful quilt at a time.
