During her forty plus years with Royal Neighbors, Member Engagement Specialist Darcy Smith has consistently proven herself helpful, committed, organized, and reliable. This professionalism was never more visible than during the second quarter of this year, when things were especially demanding in her department.
In the midst of a massive system implementation – in which she played an integral role – Darcy provided support and training for a new team member, picked up the workload of a long-term colleague who had departed, and continued to provide the highest level of service to her Chapter Leaders. Through it all, Darcy smiled and never complained. “Time invested now will pay off later,” she said of the long hours and occasional weekend work days.
Even more impressive, during this busy time Darcy maintained her full volunteer schedule, serving the evening meal at St. Joseph’s, and continuing her duties as President of the YWCA of the Quad Cities. She personifies the Royal Neighbors mission of serving and empowering others – both at work and at home. Congratulations, Darcy, on being named Employee of the Quarter!
